Hey Guys, my name is Kartia Rausen, I was born and raised in a beautiful small town in Papua  named Nabire.

I like photography since 1998 when a friend of mine introduced me to this world. Since then I've been a fan but only saw the photo pictures through books or magazines because I do not have any camera that can be used.

In 2005, I got my Nikon D70 camera as a gift, but really more interested in photography since 2008 when travelled to Sabang and admired the scenery visible in that place (thanks to beautiful Aceh).

I love to see beautiful pictures through  good scenery, architectur or human. The reason I love photography is that the concept of immortality in a photo. An event can be ended but the experience will be remain everlasting and the photos help me to remember these events in the future.

Over time my interest for photography growing. There are some big plans inside my mind, including documenting travel to most parts of Indonesia, documenting the old churches that were established before the independence of Indonesia from all over the country, explore the human body photography, deep photography presentation of food, products and much more. Actually I have not been particularly attracted to any stream of photography, but for now I focus on photography associated with traveling, and for travel Indonesia is a paradise for fans traveling phography because it has fantastic natural and very rich culture.

This website is only the beginning, just remind me to keep learning. The more I look at my photos, the more aware that I lack knowledge in photoraphy. Besides, as a place to share for those who like photography. The initial idea was to imitate Brent Stirtion’s website at http://www.brentstirton.com and with the help of Rifani finally this website can be realized.

This is my portofolio when I came to a place to take some pictures, I always came, saw and melted with all around me. Hopefully you can feel that too through this website, just enjoy it !
